Building a Credible Vendor Profile
Your vendor profile is the trust layer behind every service listing. Customers use it to decide whether your experience, location, communication, and business practices fit their equipment and risk level.

Use a recognizable identity
Use your legal business name or the professional name customers already know. Upload a clear square logo or professional portrait. Write a concise opening sentence explaining the equipment you support, the services you provide, and the territory or delivery methods you cover.
Describe capabilities with evidence
- List equipment families, processes, controllers, and software you actually support.
- Separate remote, on-site, in-shop, mail-in, training, design, and consulting capabilities.
- State relevant years of experience, training, licenses, insurance, or manufacturer relationships accurately.
- Explain industries or environments you understand, such as education, makerspaces, production shops, government, or corporate labs.
Set geographic expectations
Use your actual operating location and service area. Explain travel radius, remote availability, shop or mail-in options, and whether wider travel is quoted separately. A large service radius should not imply guaranteed availability.
Publish policies customers can understand
Summarize response expectations, scheduling, cancellations, travel, parts, shipping, warranties, data handling, and customer responsibilities. Keep detailed service-specific terms in each listing.
Use listings for individual offers
Do not force every capability into one listing. Create focused offers customers can compare and purchase, such as remote diagnostic triage, preventive maintenance, operator training, installation, design review, or on-site repair. Your membership determines the number of active listings available.
Maintain the profile
Review the public profile after every major service change. Remove unsupported equipment, outdated certifications, expired coverage, and unavailable services. Respond professionally to reviews and never publish customer-confidential information.
Before launch: View your profile while logged out and confirm that the name, image, location, categories, description, and service listings render correctly on desktop and mobile.
