Managing Orders, Delivery, and Vendor Payments
Use the RTN order record as the authoritative workspace for requirements, scope, delivery, revisions, completion, and payment status.

Before starting work
- Confirm that payment or the required order status is present.
- Review the purchased listing, customer notes, attachments, booking time, and agreed changes.
- Ask for missing requirements before beginning billable work.
- Confirm travel, parts, shipping, consumables, site access, and safety responsibilities when applicable.
Keep communication attached to the order
Use the order conversation for technical questions, schedule changes, approvals, diagnostic findings, and delivery notices. After a phone, meeting, or remote session, summarize important decisions in the order so both parties share the same record.
Handle requirements securely
Request only the information needed to perform the service. Tell customers how to remove passwords, customer data, proprietary files, or personal information when possible. Do not ask customers to publish sensitive information in public listings or requests.
Deliver clearly
When the service is complete, describe what was done, what was tested, the result, remaining limitations, parts installed or recommended, settings changed, and any follow-up or warranty instructions. For file-based work, name the files clearly and include opening or use instructions.
Revisions and additional work
If revisions are included, apply the listing’s stated limit and scope. Work outside the order should be explained and approved before it begins. Do not hold an original deliverable hostage to an unrelated upsell.
Completion and payment
Mark or request completion only after delivering the agreed work. RTN platform fees, payout timing, payout methods, refunds, disputes, and payment-provider processing may affect the amount and timing of vendor funds. Keep your payout information current and maintain separate business records for taxes, expenses, and reconciliation.
If the customer becomes unresponsive
Send a concise message listing what is needed and a reasonable response deadline. Preserve the order record and follow the platform’s completion or dispute process rather than moving the transaction off-platform.
Never mark an order complete merely to accelerate payout. Accurate status protects reviews, disputes, and the long-term credibility of the network.
