3D Printer Diagnostic Intake Checklist
Useful 3D-printer support separates mechanical, thermal, material, firmware, slicing, and model-file variables.

Quick note: Change one variable at a time and keep a known-good test file.
Identify the complete setup
Provide the printer, firmware, slicer and version, material, nozzle or resin system, modifications, and enclosure or environmental conditions.
Describe the stage of failure
State whether the problem occurs during startup, homing, heating, leveling, first layer, later layers, curing, washing, or file transfer.
Share reproducible evidence
Include error messages, photos, temperatures, settings, a small test model, and whether a known-good file and material show the same symptom.
Observe thermal and chemical safety
Allow hot components to cool before handling and follow the resin, solvent, ventilation, and personal-protective-equipment requirements for the materials used.
